Rebekah has studied and worked extensively with three ‘feminine’ Master Plant medicines over the last 21 years; Ayahuasca (the Grandmother), Cannabis (the Mother) and Cacao (the Maiden).
From 1998-2012, she’s apprenticed with a traditional Plant Medicine Shaman, in the Peruvian Amazon. From 2006-2010, she was Founder and Director of Hemp Global Solutions Ltd, growing hemp research crops in the UK and educating on the importance of this crop for medicine, nutrition, fuel and shelter. Rebekah also created ‘Hempower,’ a Hemp porridge, and sold hemp seed and hemp protein powder under her food label AMARU.
In 2013, after completing her Plant Medicine Apprenticeship in the Peruvian Amazon, she returned to the UK with 21 pounds of Cacao in her rucksack to offer traditional Plant Medicine ceremonies in the West, using Cacao. She facilitates sacred traditional Cacao Ceremonies around the world and train others to work with Cacao through a fully immersive Cacaoista Apprenticeship.
Since 2015, she has been deeply involved in promoting and reinvigorating the Hemp industry in the UK. She is the Chair of the British Hemp Association and has set up an environmental hemp company called BioHemp Solutions Ltd remediating toxic and degraded soil.
She also educates on the importance of ‘Plant Consciousness’ for our future survival, and teach others the importance of ‘Living Shamanically’ in the urban jungle by reconnecting them back to Nature, and the natural cycles and rhythms of life.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Study of Religions, and MSc in Development Studies, both from SOAS University, and a Post-graduate Psychology Diploma in the Human Givens Approach. She is also the author of ‘The Shaman’s Last Apprentice,’ the true story of her Apprenticeship with Don Juanito, a plant medicine shaman from the Peruvian Amazon. The sequel ‘Beyond Illusion’ will be coming out in April 2019.
