Stuart Scott is a deeply committed ecologist, strategist, educator and public speaker. His long and varied career includes being the first environmentalist stockbroker on Wall Street, IT consulting for Citibank, software engineer for IBM and a university instructor of mathematics, statistics, and critical thinking (the theory of knowledge).Stuart left academia in 2008 to engage full-time in climate and ecological advocacy. His academic, vocational and contemplative backgrounds as well as public speaking experience, combines allowing him to communicate complex relationships in simple terms to varied audiences. He is an eco-social strategist, devising innovative projects and approaches to influence the economic and social factors destabilizing the Earth’s climate and ecology. Stuart participates as an Observer to the UN climate negotiations, known for his compelling presentations and innovative initiatives. He is host of the Climate Matters program, produced at the annual UN climate negotiations and available on the UPFSI YouTube video channel.He is credited with pioneering interfaith participation at the climate change negotiations with the Interfaith Declaration on Climate Change (InterfaithDeclaration.org), now known as the United Planet Faith & Science Initiative (UPFSI.org).
