Born and raised in Ulqin | Ulcinj, Montenegro, Drita Llolla finished Medical High School in Podgorica, and further continued her studies in University of Medicine in Tirana, Albania where she acquired a Master of Science degree for Pharmacy. Drita was always passionate about activism and delivering a tangible change in the society. She was active in the civil society sector since her teenage years. At the age of 16 she was chosen by the U.S. Department of State for a leadership exchange programme.
During and after her studies, she built a career by working on various projects, in public, private and civil society sector, such as with Bayer AG, TEDxTirana, UNDP, etc.
In 2016, she decided to move back to her home country in Montenegro, and lead a civil society initiative called iACT in order to start driving grassroots change through cultural and art projects.
Currently, she serves as Executive Director of NGO iACT and Seanema Film Festival, and through SOFA - School of Film Advancement she is developing a project to establish the first Art House Cinema in Montenegro.
Other than the above, she is a licensed Dr Pharm currently working in her community in Ulcinj, ex-basketball player and current CrossFit aficionado.
